UAE Immigration Offices to Close for 5 Days During National Day Celebrations

The UAE’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) has announced the temporary closure of all immigration and passport offices across the country from Saturday, November 30 to Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in observance of Martyrs’ Day and the 53rd UAE National Day (Eid Al Etihad). This closure affects all GDRFA offices, Amer centers, typing offices, and the Al Aweer Center, which handles cases related to residency law violations, visas, and visit permits. Regular operations will resume on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. What This Means for Residents and Travelers Plan Ahead: If you have pending visa applications, renewals, or extensions, it’s advisable to complete them before November 30 to avoid delays. Overstay Issues: Address any visa overstays promptly. Failing to do so before the holiday closure could result in fines or legal complications. Grace Period: The GDRFA has reminded residents benefiting from the grace period for resolving residency law violations that this period, which provides exemption from late fees, is set to conclude on December 31, 2024. Emergency Services For urgent matters during the holiday period, the Customer Happiness Center at Dubai Airport, Terminal 3 (Arrivals Hall) will remain operational 24/7. Business Setup Services in UAE

Business Setup Services in UAE

With its economic-friendly policies, world-class facilities, and tax benefits, doing business in the UAE is an invigorating experience. The UAE has a treasure trove of possibilities whether you are a foreign investor looking to diversify or a businessman venturing into your maiden venture. Launching a business can still be daunting particularly if you are a complete newbie at local regulations and paperwork. That is precisely where expert business setup services in UAE can be difference-makers. Helping companies and entrepreneurs negotiate the UAE’s business establishment environment is our primary focus at Prodigy Group. From choosing the appropriate company structure to getting required permissions, we are here to help you every step of the way. Why Choose the UAE? Up to October 2023, the UAE has grown into one of the most attractive locations for businesses worldwide. In view of being a business hub, UAE is praised for its tax-free zones, convenient access to an international clientele, and a matured economy. The government has, therefore, crafted policies aiding foreign investors in setting up, including some zones that allow 100 percent foreign ownership. Nonetheless, while set up offers massive opportunities, it may be a complex procedure in itself. A site location appropriate for a business plan, an appropriate business set-up, or proper licensing would require specialized knowledge of the local laws and regulations. This is where business setup services in UAE play a role. How Prodigy Group Can Help You At Prodigy Group, we offer a full range of services designed to simplify the business setup process. Whether you are starting a small consultancy, opening a restaurant, or launching a large-scale business, we help you make informed decisions and ensure all legal and regulatory requirements are met. 1. Business Structure Selection The selection of an appropriate business structure is the very first step of setting up your business. You have a choice, in the UAE, between a Free Zone Company, Mainland Company, or an Offshore Company. Each structure has its upsides depending upon your business type and market strategy. The Prodigy Group team will analyze your specific requirements and advise you on the best option for your new business. For example, free zones grant 100% foreign ownership, whereas they restrict the ability to trade directly with the UAE Market. On the contrary, mainland companies allow more local market access but require a local sponsor for ownership. 2. Legal Assistance and Licensing After you have finalized the business structure, the next is obtaining the required licenses. UAE companies require licenses according to their business activity -commercial, professional, or industrial. It can be very challenging to do this without there being a local touch. Prodigy Group provides expert help in getting the correct licenses for your business so that you are ensuring all the legal requirements. We also assist in registration with the concerned government departments, including Dubai’s Department of Economic Development (DED) or those of the other emirates. 3. Visa and Sponsorship Services One of the most important areas of establishing your business is obtaining work visas for yourself and your staff. Depending on the nature of business you are establishing, how many you will need depends. At Prodigy Group, we arrange this for you simply, enabling you to apply for work and residence visas rapidly and conveniently. We also offer sponsorship services for mainland businesses that need a local sponsor or partner. 4. Office Setup Wherever you choose to base your business—you are in a free zone or on the mainland—a physical office is normally required. Prodigy Group works with a network of office providers to arrange you office space that suits your business needs. From shared office space to your own offices, we ensure that you have a professional office to work from.
